What is in it

70 blank record sheets (114 pages in each paper size), in 6 sections:

What the binder adds

The sheets are free on their own pages. The binder is the work of turning 70 separate downloads into one file you can print, punch and keep:

• The order. Sheets grouped by what you own: the vehicles, the garden machines, the trailers and boats, then buying, selling and running costs.
• A divider per engine. Ten write-on “Machine 1–10” dividers, each with an index line, so every machine’s records live behind its own tab.
• Wall and glovebox formats. The pre-use checks printed larger for the workshop wall, and specification cards sized for a glovebox.
• Worked examples. Three sheets filled in with illustrative entries: a small engine log, a vehicle service record and a pre-purchase inspection. No service intervals: those come from your handbook.
• Fillable files that behave. One fillable PDF per section, with every field named separately, so typing a date in one sheet does not fill it in on forty others.

Who it is for

It is for anyone with a shed, a garage or a driveway full of engines: a car you service yourself, a mower and a chainsaw, a trailer, a boat, a tractor.

If you only need the log for one machine, download it on its own page instead. It is the same sheet, complete, in every format.

Setting it up

1. Print the binder file, or send it to a print shop.
2. Write one machine on each divider: the car, the mower, the chainsaw, and so on.
3. Behind each divider, put that machine’s service log and its pre-use check.
4. Copy the details from each handbook onto the vehicle information sheet or the machine log: model, serial number, and the parts and fluids it takes.
5. Pin the workshop-wall checks up beside the machines they belong to.

Questions

Does this include manufacturer service schedules?

No, and it never will. Service intervals differ between models and build years, and those schedules are the manufacturer’s own work. Every sheet holds the figures from your handbook rather than replacing it.

Is the binder different from the free sheets?

The blank sheets are the same sheets, unchanged, and each one is also free on its own page. The binder adds the order, the machine dividers, the index, the guide and the worked examples, which are written for the binder and are only in it.

Which file should I download?

The binder file for your paper size, if you just want to print it. The zip has everything else: the print-shop file, the dividers on card, the labels and glovebox cards, the workshop-wall checks in A3 and US Tabloid, the refill pack and one fillable PDF per section.

Will it be updated?

If we correct a file, the current version replaces it on this page. Download it again whenever you like.
