Usage and licence

What you may do

• Print as many copies as you like, for as long as you like.
• Use them commercially. In a workshop, a garage, a letting business, a holiday let, a smallholding, a maintenance round. You do not need our permission and you do not owe us anything.
• Photocopy them and hand them to staff, tenants, cleaners or contractors.
• Fill them in, save them and store them however you want. What you write on them is yours and never reaches us.
• Link to any page here freely. We would rather you linked to the page than hosted a copy of the file, so people get the current version.

What you may not do

• Sell the files, individually or in a bundle, or include them in a product you charge for.
• Re-upload them to a download site, a template marketplace, or anywhere that gates them behind a sign-up or a paywall.
• Present them as your own work, or strip the footer and republish them.

Charging someone for a service that happens to involve printing one of these is obviously fine — a cleaner using our changeover checklist is not selling it. The line is whether the sheet itself is what is being sold.

Modifying them

You may cross things out, write extra lines in, and adapt a printed sheet to your property. That is what they are for, and several of them say so on the page.

Redistributing a modified version as a file is a different matter — mostly because a changed sheet still carrying our footer becomes our problem when it is wrong. If you want to adapt one for wider use, ask; the answer is usually yes.

No warranty, and what that means here

These are blank forms. They are designed with care and we think the field lists are right, but they are not certified, not approved by anybody, and not a substitute for whatever your jurisdiction, insurer, manufacturer or regulator actually requires.

Several sheets touch areas that are regulated in some countries and not in others — septic systems, private water, rented property, safety equipment, workplace records. Where that is the case the sheet says so, and says to check locally. Please do. A form that suits a house in Ireland may not satisfy a requirement in Ohio, and we make no claim that it does.

Attribution

Not required. The sheets carry a small footer with the site name, and we would rather you left it there — mostly so that whoever finds the sheet on a workshop wall in five years can work out where to get a fresh one.
