What this sheet is for

Catch a chipped impeller and a blocked bag mesh before they turn into vibration and lost blow, and keep the filter and part numbers where they can be found.

Who it is for

Anyone with a blower or blower-vac, from a single garden to a grounds team with several backpack units.

How to use it

  1. Fill the specification block once — mix ratio, plug, filter and bag part numbers.
  2. Log each service with the date and the season or hours.
  3. Check the impeller every time the vacuum side is used; stones go through it.
  4. Note vibration or loss of blow as soon as you notice it, not at the next service.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: Service log for a hand-held, backpack or walk-behind blower, and the vacuum side where fitted — where the impeller eats every stone the lawn hides.

  • Collection bag zip closed and mesh not blocked
  • Tubes locked on, no cracks at the joints
  • Throttle returns to idle and stop switch works
  • Harness and straps sound, buckles hold

Questions

Why is the impeller on a service sheet at all?

On a blower-vac the impeller is also the shredder, and every stone, stick or bolt the lawn hides goes through it. A chipped blade unbalances it, and the vibration that follows works everything else loose. It is the one part worth looking at every time.

Where is the recommended service interval?

Not printed. Makers set it in hours or seasons and they do not agree with each other, so the sheet gives you the date and hours columns and leaves the interval to your own handbook.
