What this sheet is for
Carry the measure visit through to the fit on one sheet, so the fitter arrives knowing the subfloor, the doors and who is moving the furniture.
Who it is for
Flooring fitters and carpet shops, and kitchen or bathroom fitters who lay floors as part of a bigger job.
How to use it
- Measure each room once: length, width, area with waste, product, direction and trims.
- Record the subfloor, its level and your moisture reading beside the manufacturer's limit for that product.
- Tick what preparation is needed and who is doing what before fit day.
- On fit day, record who fitted it, what was left and taken, and have the customer sign.

The manufacturer's figures, your reading. How long a floor sits in the room before it is laid, and how dry a subfloor has to be before it goes down, are the manufacturer's figures for that product — write them in from the pack or the data sheet, and your reading beside them. The sheet has the blanks; it does not have the numbers.

Questions
Why is the moisture limit a blank rather than a number?
Because it is the flooring manufacturer's figure for that product and that subfloor, and it differs between a laminate, a solid wood and a vinyl. The sheet asks for your reading and their limit side by side, so the decision to lay is visible.
