What this sheet is for
Be able to explain, months later, where each camera points, what was masked and who was given access — to the customer, a neighbour or anyone who asks.
Who it is for
CCTV and security installers fitting a recorded system at a home or small business.
How to use it
- Record the recorder, storage, retention setting and who was given access.
- Give every camera a row with its position, what is in frame and how it is cabled.
- Test night mode and recording per camera, and note privacy masks set.
- Walk the customer through live view, playback and export, and tick the handover list.
- Both sign, and leave a copy with the login details handed over.

One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: Where every camera is and what it sees, how the recorder is set up, who has access and what was masked. What may be recorded, kept and viewed is the customer's call within the rules where the system is.

Questions
Why does the sheet not say how long footage can be kept, or where signs go?
Because that depends on the rules where the system is and on what the customer decides within them. The retention blank and the signage line record what was chosen; deciding it is the customer's job, with your advice.
Should the login details be written here?
Write who they were given to and that the default password was changed. The password itself belongs with the customer, not on a job sheet.
