Air Conditioning Service Sheet

A free printable air conditioning service record — each unit from its plate, the jobs done, your readings beside the manufacturer's figure, and a signature.

First page of the Air Conditioning Service Sheet — Leave the site with one page that says what was serviced, what was measured and what was found, instead of a photo of a data plate and a memory of the rest.

What this sheet is for

Leave the site with one page that says what was serviced, what was measured and what was found, instead of a photo of a data plate and a memory of the rest.

Who it is for

Air conditioning and refrigeration engineers servicing split, ducted or multi-unit systems at a customer's premises.

How to use it

  1. Identify every unit from its data plate before touching anything — make, model, serial, refrigerant and the charge printed there.
  2. Tick the work done per unit as you go, and write any fault found in the last column.
  3. Take your readings and write the manufacturer's figure for that model beside each one.
  4. Tick whether each reading sits within that figure, and explain any that do not.
  5. Have the customer sign before you leave.

What is on the sheet

2 pages, in this order:

Page 1

Printed under the title: One visit to one site's air conditioning: each unit identified from its plate, the jobs done on it, the readings you took, and what the customer was told.

Your readings against their figures. No target readings are printed here. Compare what you measure against the manufacturer's data for that unit and the limits your own registration scheme sets, and write those figures in the column marked for them.

Questions

Why are there no target temperatures or pressures on the sheet?

Because they belong to the unit, not the sheet. Every model has its own figures in its data, and your registration scheme sets what you check against. The readings table gives you a column to copy the right figure into, so the comparison is on paper without the sheet guessing it.

Is this a refrigerant record?

No. If the rules where you work require a record of refrigerant handled, keep that on whatever form your scheme provides. This sheet notes the refrigerant type and plated charge so the unit is fully identified, and no more.
