Change liners when your own herd's numbers say they are due, not when milking starts to slow. The rest of the rubberware and every machine test get their own record.
Dairy farmers, parlour managers and milking machine technicians, and anyone with a bucket or small parlour plant.
2 pages, in this order:
Printed under the title: When the liners are due, worked out from your own herd, then every change, every check of the other rubberware and every machine test or service visit.
The liner maker sets the life. No liner life, change interval or test frequency is printed. Take the rated life in milkings from the liner maker, do the sum below with your own herd, and redo it whenever the number of cows or milkings a day changes. Fit the liners the maker pairs with your shells.
Write-on lines: Farm or parlour · Machine make · Milking units · Liner make and part no. · Rated life (milkings) · × milking units · ÷ cows milked · ÷ milkings a day · = days between changes
Table, 7 rows: Date · Units · Liners fitted · Milkings · Aligned · Shells · Fitted by · Next due · Notes
Table, 13 rows: Date · Part · Units · Condition · Action · Part no. · By
Table, 4 rows: Date · Technician · Visit · Findings · Actions · Report
Because it depends on the liner: makers rate rubber and silicone liners for different numbers of milkings. The sheet gives you the sum to turn that rating into days for your own herd, and a blank for the figure itself.
Multiply the rated life in milkings by the number of milking units, then divide by the number of cows milked and by the milkings a day. The answer is the number of days a set of liners lasts in your parlour.
A liner fitted with a twist, or in the wrong shell, milks badly and wears unevenly. Checking that the markings line up takes a moment while the unit is already apart.

Show the milk was cooled after every milking, with the time and initials of whoever read it. Anything outside the buyer's limits is written up with its cause and fix.
Record yields per animal daily, with the notes that turn an unexplained drop into an early warning.
See which does actually milk well across a whole lactation rather than on the days you happened to notice.
