Spray and Fertiliser Application Record

What this sheet is for

Record applications properly at the time, including the conditions, so the record stands up when a buyer, an inspector or a neighbour asks about it.

Who it is for

Farms, smallholdings, contractors, groundsmen and anybody applying products to land they do not eat off immediately.

How to use it

1. Record the weather at the time of application, not the forecast.
2. Copy the product name and batch exactly as they appear on the container.
3. Write the harvest or grazing interval from the label, then the date it ends.
4. Note who applied it and what certification they hold.
5. Record when the sprayer was last calibrated — it is the first thing questioned.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

Why are no rates or intervals printed?

Because they are on the label, they differ by product and by country, and they change. Using a figure from a website instead of the container is how applications go wrong. This sheet records what the label said and what you did.

Do I need a certificate to spray?

In many countries, for many products, yes — and there are often separate requirements for the equipment. What applies depends on where you are, what you are applying and why. Check locally.
