Check every load against the vehicle's own plated weights, axle by axle, before it leaves. Re-weighs after a drop or a load shift go on the same sheet.
Lorry drivers, transport planners and yard staff loading vehicles that run close to their plated weights.
2 pages, in this order:
Printed under the title: Each weighing of a loaded vehicle, axle by axle, against the plated weights copied from its own plate, with the ticket number and anything moved or taken off before it went on the road.
The plate is the limit. Copy the plated weights from the vehicle's own plate, and the trailer's, before the first weighing: they are the figures to judge against, and none are printed here. After each drop, weigh again where you can, since the load left behind can push one axle over even though the gross goes down.
Write-on lines: Vehicle reg · Trailer no. · Operator · Units used (kg or t)

Because the limits that matter are the ones on the vehicle's own plate and the trailer's, and they differ from vehicle to vehicle. Copying them into the grid at the top puts the right figures beside every weighing.
Taking part of a load off lowers the gross weight but can leave more weight on one axle than before. A weighing after the drop shows whether the load needs moving before the next leg.

Give a driver one sheet showing the whole run, with a signature line per drop and a place to record refusals and returns.
Get your own towing figures out of four different documents and onto one sheet, with a line for every time the outfit is actually weighed.
Know each combination's real height and check it against every low bridge before setting off. The cab notice is updated whenever the trailer, body or load changes.
Put the whole movement on one page before it starts, so the bridge that will not take the height is found at the desk and not at the bridge.
