The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Tell every department what was covered today and what they need to act on, while it is still fresh rather than relayed secondhand the next morning.
Stage managers and deputy stage managers of plays, musicals and dance, from a professional house to a school or amateur production.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: What actually happened at today's rehearsal — the scenes covered, the time it took, and what each department needs to know — written after the room empties, not before it fills.
The other half of the call sheet. Pairs with the Theatre Rehearsal Call Sheet, which goes out the night before to say who is needed and when. This one goes out after, to say what was covered and what came up.

The call sheet goes out before a rehearsal, saying who is needed and when. This goes out after, saying what was actually covered and what each department needs to do about it.
That one is written after a performance in front of an audience — timings, technical faults, company notes. This one is written during the rehearsal process, before the show has opened, and it is read by departments getting ready rather than by a director checking a performance.
Have the right people in the right room with the right props at the right time, and let everyone not on the sheet know they have the day.
Give the director, the producer and tomorrow's crew one honest page about what happened tonight, written while it is still clear, instead of a chain of messages the next morning.
Give everyone in a production the same list of who is playing whom and who covers them, instead of a scatter of messages.
Start the next rehearsal where the last one ended, not with half an hour of remembering.
