What this sheet is for
Have the right people in the right room with the right props at the right time, and let everyone not on the sheet know they have the day.
Who it is for
Stage managers, DSMs and assistant directors of plays, musicals and opera, and the organiser of a school or community production.
How to use it
- Fill in the production, the date, the room and the contact number.
- List calls in time order: the scene or number, the names called and the room.
- Use the 'needed in the room' table for props, costume, set pieces and script pages, and who is bringing them.
- Name who is not called, and any fittings or appointments that pull someone out.
- Add notices and tomorrow's likely call, then circulate it the night before.

Questions
Why does the sheet not set a maximum rehearsal length or break pattern?
Because working hours and breaks depend on the company's agreements and the rules where you are. There are blanks for breaks and wrap time so what you decided is on the sheet; the sheet decides nothing.
How is this different from a film call sheet?
A film call sheet covers a shooting day with unit, locations and weather. This one covers a rehearsal room: scenes, names and what needs to be there. The Video Shoot Call Sheet is the one for a camera.
