Farm Visitor and Biosecurity Log
Keep the visitor record that matters when disease is traced, and make the boot dip a thing that is recorded rather than assumed.

A free printable open farm hygiene check: each handwash station and every animal contact and eating area checked at opening, midday and close, with faults.
One page. Choose your paper size — both versions are laid out identically, so neither one gets shrunk to fit.

The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Show that every handwash station worked at every round of an open day, not only the first. A station with no soap or towels by the afternoon is one visitors walk past.
Open farms, petting farms, farm parks and shows where members of the public touch or feed animals.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: One sheet per open day: every handwash station, and every place where visitors meet the animals or sit down to eat, checked at opening, at midday and at close.
What a tick means. A tick for a station means running water, warm water, soap, paper towels, a bin with room in it and a sign asking people to wash. Gel is not counted as a station. How many stations your visitor numbers need, and how often to check, come from your own risk assessment: check the guidance where you are.

Because UK guidance for open farms treats gel as no substitute for washing with soap and running water, and similar advice is common elsewhere. Gel can sit beside a station, but a station with only gel gets a cross on this sheet, not a tick.
No number is printed, because it depends on your visitor numbers, your layout and your own risk assessment, and the guidance differs between countries. The sheet has five station rows; if you have more, use a second sheet for the rest.
Keep the visitor record that matters when disease is traced, and make the boot dip a thing that is recorded rather than assumed.
Record cleaning and disinfection properly, with the contact time and rest period that decide whether it achieved anything.
Turn the first and last twenty minutes of the day into two short lists that get initialled, instead of a routine somebody remembers most of the time.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
