Quote and first-fix from one count, so the number of sockets in the kitchen does not change between the visit, the quote and the day the chasing starts.
Electricians pricing a rewire, an extension or a first fix, and builders and homeowners agreeing what goes where before the walls are opened.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: A walk through a property counting what goes where: sockets, lighting points, switches and the special outlets, room by room, so the quote and the first fix come from the same count.

Because how the points are grouped, what each circuit is wired in and how it is protected are your design decisions under your scheme's rules for that installation. The sheet counts; the design box is yours to fill.
On the certificate your scheme has you issue at the end. This sheet is the start of the job, not the end of it.
Capture a job while you are still standing in it: what was asked for, what was done, what went into it and how long it took.
Price a job in writing, with the exclusions written down, so both sides know what was and was not covered before the work starts.
Leave behind one sheet that says exactly what is on the roof and in the loft, so the next engineer, the customer or the insurer does not have to climb up to find out.
Run a job that lasts longer than a day without losing track of what was ordered, what arrived, and what changed after the work started.
