Stock Count by Aisle Sheet
Count the shop the way it is laid out rather than the way the stock list is sorted, so every bay gets counted once and the gaps to a full shelf are visible on the same line as the count.

A free printable stockroom location sheet — a squared plan to draw the racks and bays, and a list of what is kept at each coded location and who owns it.
One page. Choose your paper size — both versions are laid out identically, so neither one gets shrunk to fit.
Print it and write on it
Fill it in type and save
The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Stop overstock going missing in the back. A drawn plan with coded racks, and a list that matches the labels on the shelves, means a new starter can find the stock and a delivery goes to the right bay first time.
Shop managers, stockroom leads and anyone setting up or reorganising a back room, storeroom or off-site store.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: A drawn plan of the stockroom with every rack, bay and shelf given a code, and a list of what lives where — so a new starter can find the overstock without asking, and a delivery goes to the right place first time.
Codes on the plan, codes on the racks. Sketch the room from above with the door at the bottom. Give each rack a letter and each bay a number, and write those codes on the racks themselves in the same lettering. The list below is only as useful as the labels on the shelves match it — update both together when something moves.
Write-on lines: Shop / branch · Stockroom · Drawn by · Date drawn
Squared grid
Table, 4 rows: Code · Where · What is kept here · Stacked how · Owner · Last checked
Because a list tells you the code, and the drawing tells you where to walk. Together they mean the person who set the room up does not have to be in on the day the delivery arrives.
Because those limits belong to your racking, your building and the rules where you are, not to a sheet. The 'stacked how' column is for your own note of how each bay is kept, and the plan has room to mark any no-stack zones you set.
Count the shop the way it is laid out rather than the way the stock list is sorted, so every bay gets counted once and the gaps to a full shelf are visible on the same line as the count.
Turn reordering from a guess into a decision, by recording the level you have chosen to hold against what is actually on the shelf.
Know at a glance which keys are out and with whom, and be able to say honestly how many copies of any of them exist.
Send goods with a note, or check a delivery in properly, with the discrepancy line that settles arguments weeks later.
