Stock Take Sheet
Count stock area by area and see the variance beside the count, so a stock take produces a number you can act on rather than a vague reassurance.

A free printable stock count sheet for retail, walked bay by bay along one aisle — code, product, on shelf, in the back, what the shelf holds and a reorder tick.
One page. Choose your paper size — both versions are laid out identically, so neither one gets shrunk to fit.

The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Count the shop the way it is laid out rather than the way the stock list is sorted, so every bay gets counted once and the gaps to a full shelf are visible on the same line as the count.
Shop floor staff, supervisors and small shop owners doing a shelf-edge count, a gap check or a replenishment walk before a delivery.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: A count walked along the fixture, bay by bay — what is on the shelf, what is in the back, and the gap to full, one aisle per sheet so nothing is counted twice or not at all.
Walk it in bay order. Count the shelf before the stockroom, and count in the order the bays run, not in the order the items come to mind. Write the shelf quantity even when it is zero — an empty cell means the bay was skipped, a nought means it was empty. What a full shelf holds is your planogram's figure, not ours.
Write-on lines: Shop / branch · Aisle · Date · Sheet no. · Counted by · Checked by · Started · Finished
Table, 11 rows: Bay · Shelf · Code / barcode · Product · On shelf · In back · Total · Shelf holds · Reorder
That sheet compares the count with what the records say and works out the variance. This one has no expected column at all: it is a fixture walk, organised by bay and shelf, for finding gaps and deciding what to bring out from the back.
Because that is set by your own planogram or your own judgement of the space, and it changes with every range review. The column is there for your figure, not ours.
Count stock area by area and see the variance beside the count, so a stock take produces a number you can act on rather than a vague reassurance.
Give stocktake variance a story. Losses written down when they are found show which cause is costing the shop, instead of one unexplained figure at the end of the period.
Stop overstock going missing in the back. A drawn plan with coded racks, and a list that matches the labels on the shelves, means a new starter can find the stock and a delivery goes to the right bay first time.
Put an order in writing so the delivery note and the invoice can both be checked against what was actually agreed.
