What this sheet is for

Run an audit against your own questions, with evidence and actions recorded beside each one rather than in a separate note.

Who it is for

Small businesses auditing their own procedures, committees checking a hall, franchisees, and anyone preparing for an external inspection.

How to use it

  1. Write your own questions. This is the part that decides whether the audit is useful.
  2. Record the evidence you actually saw, not the answer you were given.
  3. Mark findings plainly, including the ones that do not apply.
  4. Give every action an owner and a date.
  5. Set the next audit date before you file it.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

Why is the checklist empty?

Because an audit against somebody else's questions finds somebody else's problems. The layout is the useful part; the questions have to be yours.
