Bring every tent home dry and counted, with damage written down while people still remember it. The quartermaster signs it off, so next camp's kit is known to be ready.
Scout, guide and youth group quartermasters, school trip leaders and outdoor centres with a tent store.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: Filled in as the tents come back from a camp: one line per tent for drying, condition, and poles and pegs counted against what should be in the bag, with damage tagged and the quartermaster's sign-off.
Write-on lines: Group or troop · Camp or event · Dates · Returned by · Received by (quartermaster) · Date back
Also printed: OK = sound D = damaged M = missing Poles and pegs: the number found out of the number that should be there, as 9/10 · Condition · Counted
Table, 9 rows: Tent · Dried · Fly · Inner · Floor · Zips · Poles · Pegs · Guys · Bag · Damage, and where · Action
Signature strip: Quartermaster · Date · Tents to repair or replace

Settle the argument about a torn flysheet before it starts, by writing the condition down in both directions while the guest is standing there.
