What this sheet is for

Keep a record of work done so that progress over a block is visible and a pattern of stiffness is noticed early.

Who it is for

Riders, sharers, instructors and anyone bringing a horse back into work.

How to use it

  1. Fill it in after riding, not at the end of the week.
  2. Record the surface and ground — it explains a lot of soundness.
  3. Write how the horse felt, honestly. That column is the early warning.
  4. Keep completed blocks; they are the history a vet may ask for.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

Does the sheet include a training programme?

No. What a horse should be doing depends on its age, fitness, soundness and what you are training for. That is a conversation with your instructor and your vet, and nothing here is training advice.
