What this sheet is for
Make the shoeing cycle visible, which is what stops a horse going three weeks over and losing a shoe in the mud.

How to use it
- Record the next visit date at the visit, while the farrier is standing there.
- Note remedial work and why it was done.
- Record cost; over a year it is a large number people never total.
- Keep foot balance notes on the same sheet so a new farrier can read the history.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
How often should a horse be shod or trimmed?
No interval is printed. It depends on the horse, the work, the ground and the season, and it is your farrier's call. What the sheet does is make the cycle you agreed visible.
