What this sheet is for
Record worming with the active ingredient written down, which is what makes a resistance-aware plan possible instead of dosing out of habit.
Who it is for
Horse owners, sharers, livery yards and anyone responsible for a worming programme.
How to use it
- Record the reason — an egg count result, or why you treated without one.
- Write the active ingredient as well as the brand name.
- Note the weight the dose was calculated from; under-dosing drives resistance.
- Diarise the next egg count rather than the next dose.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
How often should I worm?
The sheet prints no interval, deliberately. Routine calendar dosing is now widely advised against because of resistance, and the right approach depends on your grazing, your horse's egg counts and your vet. This records what you and your vet decided.
Why record the active ingredient?
Because rotation and resistance are managed by ingredient, not by brand. Two different-looking products can contain the same active, and alternating between them achieves nothing at all.
