What this sheet is for

Know where a unit went and who was handling it, which is the question that matters when something gets clipped or a pitch turns out to be double-booked.

Who it is for

Wardens and site staff who tow, move or marshal units on a caravan park, campsite or storage compound.

How to use it

  1. Log a movement as it happens, with the time and both ends of it — from and to.
  2. Name the person who moved the unit, even when that is you.
  3. Note whether it was towed or moved with a motor mover.
  4. Record who checked the unit onto its new pitch or bay.
  5. Cross-check the log against the booking sheet at the end of the day.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: Vans, motorhomes and trailers coming on, going off or being moved between pitches — with who towed or moved it and who watched it in.

Name the person who moved it. A movement log answers two questions later: where a unit went, and who was handling it when the corner of the hedge got clipped. Write the mover's name even when the mover is you.

Write-on lines: Site · Week or period · Sheet no.

Questions

Why does it not give weights, noseweights or towing limits?

Because those belong to the unit, the towing vehicle and the rules where you are, and getting one wrong on a printed sheet would be worse than useless. Take them from the plates on the vehicles and your own handbooks.

Is this not just the booking sheet again?

No. The booking sheet says who is on a pitch and for how long. This says the unit physically moved at a particular time, by whose hand, and who received it — which is what you need after a scrape or a mix-up.
