What this sheet is for
Turn a unit round without forgetting the jobs a housekeeping list never mentions: the stove, the water containers, the guy lines and the firepit.
Who it is for
Glamping site owners and the people who turn the units round between parties.
How to use it
- Write the unit and both dates at the top, one sheet per changeover.
- Strip and check first, so anything missing or broken is found before you clean.
- Work down the groups and cross out what your units do not have.
- Note faults and stock used in the notes rather than telling somebody later.
- Lock up, write the time and hand the sheet in.

Strip and check
- Strip beds and empty bins
- Check for left property
- Note damage and breakages
- List anything missing
- Report faults to the warden
Beds and linen
- Air and turn mattresses
- Make up with clean linen
- Fresh towels and mats out
- Bag up the used linen
- Shake and brush the rugs
Kitchen, stove and water
- Wash and put crockery away
- Wipe surfaces and shelves
- Empty and wipe the cool box
- Clear ash and lay the stove
- Refill the water containers
- Check the fuel or gas left
Washroom, outside and lock-up
- Clean basin, loo and shower
- Check the drain runs clear
- Restock paper and soap
- Sweep the deck and steps
- Clear the firepit and BBQ
- Check guys, pegs and canvas
- Lighting and batteries on
- Lock up and note the time

Questions
Why is there no cleaning time or frequency on the sheet?
Because how long a unit takes and what your standard is are yours, and they vary with the unit and the party that just left. The sheet is the order of work and the record that it was done.
Can it be used for a caravan or holiday lodge?
Mostly. The bed, kitchen and washroom groups carry over; the stove, canvas and water container lines will not apply, so cross them out and write in the gas and services checks a lodge needs instead.
