What this sheet is for

See what is coming on and going off today without opening a laptop, so whoever is covering the desk can answer the question at the gate.

Who it is for

Wardens and owners of touring parks, campsites and glamping sites, and anyone who covers reception for a weekend.

How to use it

  1. Write the week and the warden on duty at the top.
  2. Fill a row per party as the bookings firm up: pitch, name, unit and vehicle.
  3. Write the due-out date in when they arrive, not when they leave.
  4. Tick the off column as each pitch clears so the free pitches stand out.
  5. File the week with the season's sheets and start a fresh page.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: The campsite arrivals sheet for the warden's desk — who is coming on, which pitch they are going to, what they are arriving in and when they are due off again.

One week, one page. This is the board, not the booking system. It holds the week in front of you on one page so that anyone covering the desk can see what is free tonight without opening a laptop. Your own check-in and check-out times, and what a party is charged, stay where you keep them.

Write-on lines: Site · Week beginning · Warden on duty

Arrivals and departures — one row per party

Table, 12 rows: Due in · Pitch · Party name · Unit · Vehicle reg · Adults / ch. · Due out · Off (tick) · Notes

Questions

Why is there no arrival or departure time printed on it?

Because those are your times, not ours, and they differ from site to site and often from season to season. Write your own at the top of the page or leave the notes column to carry a late arrival.

Does this replace a booking system?

No. It is the working copy for the desk and the gate — the one page somebody can carry out to a pitch. The booking system stays where it is.
