What this sheet is for

Trace a mislabelled or misplaced pallet back to the day and the person, and keep the aisle and bin labels themselves readable.

Who it is for

Goods-in staff, put-away drivers and anyone responsible for racking labels in a warehouse, cold store or stores yard.

How to use it

  1. Write the zone, date and who is labelling at the top.
  2. Give each pallet label issued a row: pallet ID, product, batch, quantity, and the location it was put away to.
  3. Say why the label was needed — new stock in, a relabel, a split pallet.
  4. Use the lower table when walking the aisles: note each location label that is missing, torn or wrong, and what was done about it.
  5. File the sheet with the day's goods-in paperwork.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: Every pallet label printed and every location label replaced — which pallet, which product, where it went, and why the label was needed — so a mislabelled pallet can be traced back to the day.

Write-on lines: Site / zone · Date · Labelled by

Questions

Why put pallet labels and location labels on the same sheet?

Because a pallet label is only half an address. If the location label it points to is missing or wrong, the pallet is lost just the same. Keeping both records on one page keeps both halves in view.

How often should the aisles be walked for damaged labels?

That is set where you work — it depends on the size of the site, the traffic and how quickly labels get scuffed. The sheet has no interval on it; it records each walk when it happens.
