What this sheet is for

Run the courts from one sheet on the clubhouse board, with guests, lights and the court with the net down all visible to the next duty member.

Who it is for

Duty members, club secretaries and coaches at tennis clubs that book courts on paper, and anyone running padel, squash or netball courts the same way.

How to use it

  1. Write your own slot times down the left in whatever length your club books in.
  2. Enter names in the box for the court and slot; mark a guest with a G.
  3. Tick paid when a guest or light fee has been taken.
  4. Log any court closed or fault found, when it was closed and who was told.
  5. File the sheet so the club can see how full the courts actually are.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: One day's court bookings — a row per time slot, a column per court, the names in the box — plus a note of any court closed, a light fault or a net down, so the next duty member knows.

Write-on lines: Club · Date · Duty member · Courts open · Weather

Bookings — your own slot times down the left; G beside a guest, L where lights were used; paid records that your club's fee was taken

Table, 12 rows: Time · Court 1 · Court 2 · Court 3 · Court 4 · Court 5 · Court 6 · Paid

Courts closed and faults — anything out of use or wrong, and who was told

Table, 3 rows: Court · Problem · Closed from · Reopened · Reported to · By

Questions

Why is the time column blank?

Because clubs book in different slot lengths, from different opening times, and change them between summer and winter. Writing your own slots takes a minute and means the sheet fits any club.

What if we have more or fewer than six courts?

Cross out the columns you do not use, or use two sheets side by side for a bigger club. The names still go in the box for the court and time.
