What this sheet is for

Give the treasurer one page that answers who has paid their subs and whether every fixture's match fees actually reached the bank.

Who it is for

Treasurers and team managers at amateur clubs in any team sport.

How to use it

  1. List every member with their subscription category and the amount your club set.
  2. Record each payment with the date and method, and carry the balance.
  3. After every fixture, write the number of players, the total collected and who collected it.
  4. Fill in the banked column when the money reaches the account.
  5. Chase gaps from this sheet at the end of each month.

What is on the sheet

2 pages, in this order:

Page 1

Printed under the title: The treasurer's two money records for a playing season — annual subscriptions member by member, and match fees fixture by fixture with who collected them and when they reached the bank.

Your club's rates, not ours. Subscription categories and amounts are whatever your club set at its meeting; write them in the amount column. Match fees are recorded per fixture as a total collected, so a player who has not paid is chased from the team sheet, not from here.

Questions

Why are no subscription rates printed?

Because every club sets its own at its own meeting, often by category — senior, junior, social, family. Write your club's figures in the amount column.

Why are match fees recorded per fixture rather than per player?

Because that is how the money arrives: one handful from one person after the game. Who has not paid is best chased from the team sheet on the day.
