What this sheet is for

Stop two pairs turning up for the same rink at the same time, and keep the day's results in one place for the competition secretary.

Who it is for

Bowls clubs with a shared green, competition secretaries and duty members on the clubhouse desk.

How to use it

  1. Write the date and the green condition at the top when the green opens.
  2. Book each rink by time, with who booked it and who is playing.
  3. Note the format — singles, pairs, triples or fours — and tick when the rink fee is taken.
  4. Fill in the score and winner when the game finishes.
  5. Hand the sheet to the competition secretary at close.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: One green for one day — which rink is booked at what time, who is playing, what format, and the result once the last end is played.

Your green, your rink numbers. Rink numbering, direction of play and any rest days for the green are whatever your greenkeeper has set — write the rink as it is marked on your green. Fees are your club's own; the paid column only records that the fee was taken.

Write-on lines: Club / green · Date · Green condition · Duty member

Bookings and results — format: singles, pairs, triples or fours

Table, 12 rows: Rink · Time · Booked by · Players / opponents · Format · Ends · Score · Winner · Paid

Questions

Why are no rink fees printed on the sheet?

Because every club sets its own, and many charge nothing to members. The paid column only records that whatever your club charges was taken.
