What this sheet is for
Catch a problem early by writing the weight down weekly, because rabbits hide illness until it is advanced.
Who it is for
Rabbit and guinea pig owners, rescues, breeders and anyone keeping small stock.
How to use it
- Weigh weekly, on the same scales, and write it down even when nothing has changed.
- Record eating, drinking and droppings — the three earliest signals there are.
- Note nail and tooth checks; both are easy to leave too long.
- Take the sheet to the vet. A weight trend is worth more than a description.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
What should my rabbit weigh?
No target weight is printed, because breeds range from under a kilogram to over seven. What matters is the trend in your own animal: a steady weight is reassuring and a falling one is a reason to ring the vet, whatever the absolute number.
