What this sheet is for
Track linen out to the laundry and back again, so a missing set is noticed the week it goes missing rather than the season it runs out.
Who it is for
Holiday let owners, guest houses, small hotels, and large households that lose track of how many duvet covers they actually own.
How to use it
- Count what you hold and fill in the stock block once.
- Log every set that goes out, with the date and the quantity.
- Log it back in the same way — the two numbers not matching is the whole point.
- Mark anything stained, torn or worn as it comes back, and order replacements before the season, not during it.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
How many sets of linen should a let hold?
That depends on your changeover schedule and how long your laundry takes to turn a set around. The stock block on the sheet is there so you can work out your own number from what you actually use, rather than guess.
Can this be used for a laundry contractor's paperwork?
Yes — the out and back columns are built to be checked against a contractor's docket. Keep the dockets with the sheet, in date order.
