What this sheet is for

Give a contract cleaning round a paper trail, so what was done and by whom is a signed line rather than an argument at the end of the month.

Who it is for

Cleaning contractors, supervisors, facilities managers and anyone signing off cleaning on a site they do not clean themselves.

How to use it

  1. Fill in the area, task and frequency columns once, then photocopy the blank sheet.
  2. Initial and date each line as the job is finished, not at the end of the shift.
  3. Write the reason beside anything not done — a blank row explains nothing.
  4. Have the supervisor sign the sheet off and file it with the invoice.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

Can this be used as a record for an audit or a client?

It is designed to be, in that every line carries a name, initials and a date. Whether it satisfies a particular contract or inspection regime is a question for that contract and for the rules where you operate — check before you rely on it.

Why is there no list of tasks printed on it?

Because a school, a restaurant kitchen and an office block share almost none of them. The tasks come from your specification; the sheet is the grid that proves they were done.
