Printed under the title: The hand tools in one toolbox, bag or board written down once, then checked round by round for loose handles, mushroomed heads, sprung jaws, damaged insulation and worn tips.
What counts as a fault. Handles split, loose or taped up. Striking faces mushroomed, chipped or cracked. Jaws or teeth sprung, worn or slipping. Insulation cut, cracked or worn through. Blades and tips chipped, bent or blunt. If you would not hand it to someone else, it is out of use until it is dressed, repaired or replaced.
