What this sheet is for

Find the gaps between the plan and the bay while you are standing in front of it, and leave a record head office or the next shift can act on.

Who it is for

Shop-floor staff and supervisors in a branch that works to planograms, and merchandisers checking bays on a store visit.

How to use it

  1. Write the bay and the plan reference and version at the top before you start.
  2. Work from the top shelf down and left to right, one row per position.
  3. Record what the plan says and what is actually there, with facings for each.
  4. Mark match yes or no and write the action — fill, move, re-label, remove.
  5. Take a photo if your business wants one, and tick that you did.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: One bay checked against its planogram, shelf by shelf — what the plan says goes there, what is actually there, and how many facings of each — so the gaps are written down rather than noticed and lost.

Check against the plan you were issued. Which planogram is current, and how strictly a bay has to follow it, is set by whoever issues your plans. Write the plan reference and version at the top so a check against last month's plan is not mistaken for a fail.

Write-on lines: Shop / branch · Bay / fixture · Plan ref. & version · Date · Checked by · Bay reset since last check? · Photo taken?

Shelf by shelf — top shelf first, left to right

Table, 11 rows: Shelf · Plan says · Found · Facings · Facings · Match · Action

Questions

What if the bay was reset to a newer plan than the one I have?

Say so in the field at the top and check against the plan you were issued anyway, noting the version. A check against the wrong plan is still useful once everyone knows which plan it was.

Why no compliance percentage or target?

Because how strictly a bay has to follow the plan is a decision for whoever issues your plans, and the score they use is theirs. The sheet counts the matches and mismatches; the standard is yours to apply.
