- Value what you ate as well as what you sold.
- Do it once a year, in the same month, so the years compare.

No. It is arithmetic on your own figures for your own use. Whether your holding is a business or a hobby, what may be deducted and what must be declared are questions for an accountant and for the tax rules where you are.
