How to use it
- Weigh in grams on scales, at the same time of day.
- Record the enrichment rotated, not just that there were toys.
- Log out-of-cage time honestly.
- Note feather condition and any plucking, with dates.

Weigh in grams; do not judge by eye. Weight is the single most useful number for a parrot and should be taken on gram scales, not judged. No diets, quantities or out-of-cage minimums are printed — species vary enormously and an avian vet is the source.

Questions
Why weigh in grams?
Because a bird can lose a significant proportion of its body weight before it looks any different, and by the time it does the situation is often serious. Gram scales cost very little and catch it early.
How much time out of the cage does a parrot need?
No figure is printed. It depends enormously on species and on the setup, and an avian vet or species society is the source.
