What this sheet is for

Keep a record of what went into the tank and when, with the adult size that should have been checked before buying.

Who it is for

Fishkeepers, aquascapers and anyone stocking a new tank gradually.

How to use it

  1. Record the expected adult size — it is the figure most often skipped at purchase.
  2. Note the source; a run of losses from one shop is worth knowing.
  3. Record quarantine if you use it.
  4. Log losses honestly and write what you think caused them.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

How many fish can I keep?

No stocking rule is printed, because the common ones are unreliable and depend on filtration, maintenance, species behaviour and adult size. Research the species before it goes in the bag rather than after.
