Free cleaning sign-off log — area, task, time, who did it, an issue tick and a supervisor check column. PDF, Excel and browser versions.
2 pages. The A4 and US Letter files are laid out identically, so neither is shrunk to fit.
Print it and write on it
Fillable PDF type and save
Spreadsheet formulas included
The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.
A dated line for every cleaning round, initialled by the person who did it. The area, the task, the time it was finished and a tick from whoever checked it afterwards, so the record says who as well as when.
Cleaning contractors and in-house teams working across several areas — offices, schools, surgeries, gyms, factories, halls and communal blocks — where somebody signs the work off and somebody else spot-checks it.
The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.
Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.
A rota says who should clean what and when. This is the evidence that it happened, signed at the time, which is what an inspection or a complaint will ask for.
That is set by your own specification or contract, not by this sheet. Write the tasks you have agreed into the task column and the sheet records against them.
That is your call. Most teams spot-check rather than check everything, which is why the check column can be left blank — a blank means not checked, not failed.
Yes, and that is usually better than a sheet each. The initials column keeps the lines apart, and the areas can be read down the page as one shift.
Items out and items back, counted per load rather than per week.
What was done on the visit, ticked task by task.
Which room is cleaned on which day, agreed once and written down.
Every key, fob or code issued, against a reference you can quote.
Printable sheets, workbooks and tools on the same subject.
Show that a round actually happened, at what time and by whom, and get a reported fault in front of somebody who can fix it.
Give a contract cleaning round a paper trail, so what was done and by whom is a signed line rather than an argument at the end of the month.
Turn the first and last twenty minutes of the day into two short lists that get initialled, instead of a routine somebody remembers most of the time.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
