Fillable PDF type and save

Spreadsheet formulas included

The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.

Fill it in online

The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

Every video you upload, with how it did. Each row records one video's figures taken at the same check-in point, and the sheet works out its engagement rate and average watch time per view so videos can be compared fairly.

YouTubers, short-form creators and small businesses posting video who want their own record of how each upload performed, kept outside the platform's dashboard.

What this helps you track

  • When each video went up and what it was called
  • Views, likes, comments and watch hours at a check-in point you choose
  • Subscribers or followers gained from each upload
  • Engagement rate and average watch per view, worked out the same way every time
  • Total views, the average per video and the single best performer

How to use it

  1. Write the channel, the platform, the period the log covers and the check-in point you will use, such as a set number of days after upload.
  2. Add each video on the day it goes up, with its title and upload date.
  3. At your check-in point, copy the views, likes, comments, watch hours and subscribers gained from the platform's figures.
  4. The engagement rate, watch per view and the summary are worked out in the browser and the workbook; on paper, use the formulas in the table note.
  5. Look down the calculated columns rather than the views alone to see which videos held attention.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

How is the engagement rate worked out?

Likes plus comments, divided by views, shown as a percentage. It is a simple measure that lets a small video be compared with a large one. The sheet does not say what a good rate is; compare your videos with each other.

Why use a fixed check-in point?

Because a video keeps collecting views. Comparing one checked after a day with one checked after a month is not fair. Pick your own point, write it in the header and take every video's figures at that point.

What does average watch per view show?

Watch hours converted to minutes and divided by views, so it shows how many minutes the typical viewer stayed. Read it alongside the video's length, which you can note in the title.

Does it work for short-form platforms?

Yes. The columns are the ones most platforms report. Leave watch hours blank if your platform does not show them; the other calculations still work.
