Spreadsheet formulas included

The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.

Fill it in online

The same sheet, on screen. Totals and figures are worked out as you type, rows can be added or removed, and you can print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.

Who this is for

Every online order in one list. Each row records what was bought, from whom, what was paid, the delivery date promised and the day it actually turned up. The sheet works out how long each took, flags the late ones and shows what is still on its way.

Households where several people order online and nobody is sure what is still coming, and anyone who wants the month's online spending in one place before the card statement arrives.

What this helps you track

  • What was ordered, from which retailer and under which order number
  • What each order cost and the month's total spent online
  • The delivery date promised against the day it actually arrived
  • Orders still awaited and deliveries that came late
  • Orders that arrived wrong or incomplete and need chasing

How to use it

  1. Write the household and the month at the top, and the currency you pay in.
  2. Add a row as soon as an order is placed: the date, the retailer, the items, the order number and the amount paid.
  3. Copy the expected delivery date from the confirmation email so there is something to measure against.
  4. When the parcel arrives, write the date and tick All OK only if everything came and was right; leave it blank if you need to chase.
  5. Days taken and the late flag are worked out in the browser and the workbook; on paper, count the days and mark late ones by hand.
  6. At the month end, chase anything still awaited and start a fresh sheet or carry those rows over.

Formats

  • Printable PDF (A4 and US Letter)
  • Fillable PDF with form fields
  • Fill in online, saved in your browser
  • Excel / Google Sheets workbook

The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The workbook uses plain formulas only — SUM, IF, COUNTIF and the like — so it opens in Excel, LibreOffice and Google Sheets without anything breaking, and every calculated cell is grey so you can see which figures it worked out.

How to print

Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.

Questions

How does the sheet decide an order is late?

It compares the delivered date with the expected date you copied from the confirmation. If it arrived after that date the late column shows 1. It uses only the dates you enter, so a vague promise such as a date range needs you to pick one.

How is 'still awaited' worked out?

It counts the rows with an order date and takes away the rows with a delivered date. Anything ordered but not yet marked as arrived is therefore still counted as on its way.

Should returns and refunds go on this sheet?

Note a return in the items or a note, and if a refund comes back you can enter it as a minus amount paid so the month's total stays honest. For a detailed returns trail keep the retailer's emails alongside.

Is the order number worth writing down?

Yes. It is the first thing a retailer or courier asks for when you chase a missing or wrong parcel, and having it on one sheet saves searching through old emails.
