Track water chemistry as a trend, so you can correct a drift early instead of chasing a problem after it appears.

Private pool owners and anyone looking after a pool at a holiday property.
How to use it
- Record the pool volume, surface and sanitiser type once.
- Test and log at the same time of day where you can.
- Write down what you added as well as what you measured.
- Log backwashing and filter pressure weekly.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
What should the readings be?
Target ranges depend on your sanitiser system, the pool surface and, for commercial or let pools, local rules. Your test kit instructions and your pool supplier are the right source — this sheet records what you measured, it does not set targets.
Why record filter pressure?
A rising pressure over time is the clearest sign the filter needs backwashing or cleaning, and it is only visible if you write it down.
