What this sheet is for

Keep the physical weekly round going even when the chemistry looks fine, by giving it its own tick sheet instead of leaving it to memory.

Who it is for

Private pool owners, and anyone looking after a pool at a holiday property or on someone else's behalf.

How to use it

  1. Fill in the pool and pool type once at the top.
  2. Work through the same jobs each week: skim, brush, vacuum, test, backwash if needed, check the level.
  3. Tick each job as it is done and note who did it.
  4. Log the actual test readings on the Pool Chemical and Maintenance Log, not here.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: The physical round, not the chemistry — skimming, brushing, vacuuming, backwashing and checking the level, one row per week for a season.

Pairs with the chemical log. This sheet is for the jobs you do with your hands, not the numbers you read off a test strip. Log the actual readings on the Pool Chemical and Maintenance Log; tick here once the physical round for the week is done.

Write-on lines: Pool / property · Season or year · Pool type

Weekly round — tick each job as it is done

Table, 13 rows: Week beginning · Skim & baskets · Brush walls/floor · Vacuumed · Water tested · Backwash / filter · Level topped up · Done by · Notes

Questions

Why is this separate from the chemical log?

Because they are different kinds of record. The chemical log is a trend of numbers; this is a tick sheet for physical jobs that either happened or did not. Trying to fit both onto one table usually makes a worse version of each.
