Glass Fusing and Kiln Schedule
Repeat a firing that worked and trace one that did not, because the schedule you ran and what came out are on the same sheet.
Studio crafts and making · SD-02
A free printable pottery stock sheet — clay bodies by bag and batch number, glaze materials, oxides and stains by tub, each with your own reorder point.
2 pages. Choose your paper size — both versions are laid out identically, so neither one gets shrunk to fit.
Print it and write on it
Fill it in type and save
The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Know what is in the stores before the order goes in, and keep the batch number of every bag and tub so a glaze that changes can be traced to a material that changed.
Studio potters, community and school pottery rooms, and anyone who mixes their own glazes and buys materials in more than one delivery.
2 pages, in this order:
Printed under the title: What is actually in the pottery stores — clay bodies by bag and batch, glaze materials, oxides and stains by tub — counted, dated, and with your own reorder point beside each.
Batch numbers matter more than they look. Firing ranges and reorder levels are yours to fill in, not ours to print. A clay body's range comes from its maker's data sheet; how much you hold before reordering depends on how fast you throw and how long your supplier takes. Write the batch number on every bag you open — a change of batch is the usual reason a glaze that worked for years suddenly does not.
Write-on lines: Studio / workshop · Date counted · Counted by
Table, 5 rows: Clay body · Supplier & code · Batch no. · Range (maker's) · Bags / kg · Reorder at · Ordered
Table, 26 rows: Material · Form · Supplier & code · Batch no. · On hand · Reorder at · Ordered
Because it is. A clay body's range is printed on the bag or the supplier's data sheet, and it is not for a stock sheet to restate it. Copy it across so the information is with the stock count, but the source is always the maker.
Yes — the second table takes dry materials, slop and bucketed glaze alike, with a column for the form so a bucket and a bag of the same name are not confused.
Repeat a firing that worked and trace one that did not, because the schedule you ran and what came out are on the same sheet.
Count stock area by area and see the variance beside the count, so a stock take produces a number you can act on rather than a vague reassurance.
Turn reordering from a guess into a decision, by recording the level you have chosen to hold against what is actually on the shelf.
Put an order in writing so the delivery note and the invoice can both be checked against what was actually agreed.
