Pet Emergency Information Sheet
Put everything a neighbour, a sitter or an emergency responder would need onto one page and leave it where a stranger would look. It answers the questions that get asked when you are not there to be asked.

A free printable pet hazard check: a walk round the home, garden and garage for plants, chemicals, food, cords and escape gaps, and what was done about each.

Find what could poison, injure or lose a pet at home or in the garden, and deal with it. Each find gets an action and a date, so the walk-round leads somewhere.
Households with pets, owners getting ready for a new dog, cat or rabbit, and anyone moving home with animals.
One page, top to bottom:
Printed under the title: A walk round the home, the garden and the garage or shed, looking for what could poison, injure or lose a pet, with what was found on each line and what was done about it.
Check it, do not guess. No poison list is printed: what harms one species may not harm another, and no list is complete. Check anything you are unsure of with your vet or an animal poison service, and if a pet may have eaten something, phone your vet.
Write-on lines: Home · Pets in the home (species) · Checked by · Date

Because what harms one species may not harm another, the lists that exist are long and never complete, and a short printed list could make an unlisted hazard look safe. The sheet points you at the places to look and asks you to check each find against a list your vet trusts.
Phone your vet or an animal poison helpline straight away, with the packet, label or a piece of the plant to hand if you can. This sheet is for prevention, not for deciding what to do in an emergency.

Get every animal in the house onto one page, so a sitter, a new vet or an insurer can be handed a single sheet instead of a folder. It also carries the feeding and medication detail that stops the wrong bowl going to the wrong animal.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
