What this sheet is for
Record what came off and what it was worth, which is the only way to know whether wool covers the cost of shearing.

Flock keepers, smallholders, fibre producers and alpaca keepers.
How to use it
- Book and record the shearer and the rate agreed before the day.
- Weigh the clip rather than estimating it.
- Record grade and buyer, with the reference number.
- Note the shearing cost against the return, honestly.
What is on the sheet
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
Questions
When should I shear?
No date is printed. It depends on climate, breed, lambing and — critically — the weather forecast for the fortnight afterwards. Local practice and your shearer's advice are worth more than any printed month.
