The fillable versions have real form fields — open them in any PDF reader, type into them and save. Printing help.
Track the two jobs that decide how long a water heater lasts: flushing out sediment and replacing the sacrificial anode before it is gone.
Homeowners with a storage cylinder, tank or tankless heater — especially in hard water areas.
The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.
It is a sacrificial metal rod that corrodes instead of the tank. Once it is used up, the tank starts corroding. Replacing it is far cheaper than replacing the cylinder, but it is invisible unless someone checks.
Set temperature involves a trade-off between scalding risk and bacterial growth, and there is specific guidance in most countries. Follow your manufacturer's instructions and local guidance, and record the setting here.

Keep the proof of annual servicing that boiler warranties commonly ask for, and an index of which engineer did what.
Keep a softener actually working, rather than discovering months later that it ran out of salt and the limescale came back.
Keep one continuous record of everything that has been serviced, repaired or replaced, so the history of the building exists in one place rather than in a drawer of loose invoices.
