What this sheet is for

Make the cake the customer described rather than the one you remember, and have the spelling of the inscription and the deposit in writing.

Who it is for

Home cake makers, small bakeries taking celebration orders, and anyone decorating to order.

How to use it

  1. Take the order onto the sheet while the customer is there, and read the inscription back to them.
  2. Write down the customer's own dietary and allergen notes in their words.
  3. Sketch the design in the squared area and list anything that has to be made or bought ahead.
  4. Record the price, deposit and balance as agreed, with dates when each was paid.
  5. Tick the making steps as you go, and have the collector sign for it.

Questions

Why is there no price list or servings guide?

Because your prices and how you size a cake are yours, and they change. The money section is for what you agreed with this customer, not what anyone suggests you charge.
