What this sheet is for

Keep the loft's breeding and racing history in one place, with the ring numbers that everything else refers to.

Who it is for

Racing and fancy pigeon keepers, and loft managers.

How to use it

  1. Record ring numbers with the year they were issued.
  2. Log pairings and young reared against both parents.
  3. Record birds sent and returned for each race.
  4. Keep the cleaning round on the same sheet.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

What rules apply to keeping pigeons?

Racing and showing are governed by organisations with their own rules on ringing, registration and health testing, and some countries regulate lofts or require notification. Your federation and local authority are the sources.
