A free printable craft supply inventory — glue, paper, paint, blades, ink and the rest of the cupboard, with where each item is kept and how much is left.

What this sheet is for

Stop buying a third bottle of the same glue while the project that needed a particular blade sits waiting, by counting the cupboard once and keeping it current.

Who it is for

Anyone whose craft room serves several crafts at once, and makers who buy supplies in bulk and need to know what is already on the shelf.

How to use it

  1. Count one storage area at a time and write the date at the top.
  2. List the item, the brand or colour code, and the pack size you buy it in.
  3. Record where it is kept — a supply you cannot find is a supply you will buy again.
  4. Set your own reorder point in that column, based on how fast you get through it.
  5. Note where you last bought it and what you paid, so reordering is a two-minute job.

What is on the sheet

One page, top to bottom:

Printed under the title: Everything in the craft room that is not yarn or fabric — glue, paper, paint, blades, ink and the rest — counted, located and marked for reordering.

Supplies, not stash. This is the consumables cupboard, not the stash. Yarn and fabric have their own inventory; this one is for the supplies that run out quietly and stop a project dead on a Sunday afternoon. The reorder point is the one you set, not one printed here.

Questions

How is this different from the stash inventory?

The stash inventory is for yarn and fabric, which you buy by the ball or the metre and choose from by colour. This is for the consumables and small tools around them — adhesives, card, paints, blades, ink pads — which run out quietly rather than being chosen.

Why is the reorder point left blank?

Because how low you let something get depends on how often you use it and how quickly you can replace it. A figure printed here would be wrong for almost everyone's cupboard.
