The same sheet, on screen. Tick, type, add or remove rows, then print it or download the completed version as a PDF. Everything stays in your browser — your entries are kept in this browser's own storage on this device, nothing is uploaded, and there is no account.
Your kitchen, written down once. The layout, every run of units, the worktop, sink, appliances, lighting and finishes are recorded in one place, so each designer, fitter and supplier quotes for the same kitchen.
Homeowners getting quotes for a new kitchen, and anyone who has found that three suppliers quoted for three slightly different kitchens.
The printable is laid out inside a box that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the two files are identical and neither one is scaled. The fillable PDF has real form fields. The online version keeps what you enter in your own browser and builds the completed PDF on your device.
Download the A4 or US Letter file to match the paper in your printer, open it in a PDF reader and print at 100% — not "fit to page", which shrinks the writing space. Both files leave a 14 mm margin, which clears the unprintable edge on home printers. To print the online version with your entries in it, use the Print this sheet button, which prints only the sheet and none of the page around it. More on printing.
Whatever describes your kitchen: galley, L-shaped, U-shaped, island, peninsula, single wall or your own description. The field is free text so an unusual room can be described properly.
Moving a sink, cooker or boiler changes the price of the job. Showing where water, gas and electric points are now lets each quote say clearly what it includes for moving them.
No, because there is nothing to add up. Print it or fill it in online, where it saves in your own browser. Prices for the units and appliances can go on the fixtures and fittings schedule, which totals them.
A plan shows positions; this sheet records the choices behind it in words, which is easier to compare against quotes and delivery notes. Keep both together.
Every fitting in the project, room by room.
Who each quote is from, its date and its quoted total.
Every change raised, when and by whom.
Printable sheets, workbooks and tools on the same subject.
Keep a kitchen fit straight across several trades and several days. A missing door, a damaged panel or an unconnected appliance is on paper the day it is noticed.
See where three quotes actually differ, which is usually in what has been left out rather than in the number at the bottom.
Every sheet, binder, game and puzzle on Upkeep Papers is free to download, with no email and no account. Making them is not free: each one takes days of research, design and checking, and the site costs money to run. If something here saved you time, you can buy us a coffee. It is entirely optional: nothing is locked, and nothing changes if you don’t.
Opens PayPal in a new tab. Any amount, and nothing changes if you would rather not.
