Because the PIN is what stops a stolen mower being used, and this sheet may be kept in a shed or handed to a gardener. Write where it is recorded instead, so the right person can find it.
That depends on the model, the lawn and how many hours it runs, and some mowers keep their own blade timer. The sheet records each change so you can see how long a set lasts on your lawn, and leaves the figure to the handbook.
Keep a mower running past its fifth year, by tracking the three things that actually kill them: stale fuel, a blocked air filter and neglected oil.
Service a ride-on by hours rather than by guesswork, and stop a deck belt or a spindle bearing being the thing that ends the season early.
Know in spring where every battery, drain plug and machine actually is, and whether it started, instead of finding out the hard way on the first fine day.
Do one pass through everything with an engine before the cold, so nothing needs a carburettor rebuild in spring.
