What this sheet is for

Keep one card per customer so the history of what was done, what it cost and when the next visit is due lives in one place.

Who it is for

Trades, cleaners, groomers, gardeners, mobile mechanics, therapists and anyone with repeat customers.

How to use it

  1. Record the access details — gate codes, parking, the dog — where the next person will look for them.
  2. Add a line every visit, including the invoice number.
  3. Note the next due date on the card, then transfer it to a diary.
  4. Keep only what you need to do the work.

What is on the sheet

The layout is fixed at a size that fits both A4 and US Letter, so the A4 and Letter files are visually identical and print at full size on either. Rows are set at a height that an adult can actually write a date and a few words into with a pen — most printable tables are built in a word processor and never tested with one.

Questions

Is it safe to keep customer details on paper?

Paper records are covered by the same rules as computer ones in many countries, and those rules differ. Hold as little as you need, tell people what you hold, keep the cards somewhere secure, and destroy them when you no longer need them. Check what applies where you are.
